for anyone who checks in on this, I"m running this on high settings, no vsync, no AA, at 1280x720, just a tick lower than my res. I get great FPS except in the middle of large explosions, which my FPS drops to about 15 for a few seconds.

This is super cheap on greenmangaming at the minute but from what I can gather there's alot of conflicting information about the actual system requirements. Really wanna buy it but it'd suck if I can't run it moderately well. Any advice?

Requirements are a lie. Says I don't even make minimum, but on my 1680x1050 reso, I'm running on medium 30 frames.

I am playing this game on high at my current resolution....:) either the requirements are wrong or this game is really really well optimized.

I think you should be able to, btw, this game doesn't really have a medium setting, just low or high.

Can my PC run this game?
I think my weak points are the video card (HD 5450 w/ 1GB ddr3) n my OS (Windows 7 Ultimate 32bits) but what about reducing resolution n stuffs like it?! :/

I doubt it, sorry :( Also your OS is not a weak point, it just limits ram to 4gb's, which is more than enough for this game, and many others.

This game is great, I play it on low with 60 fps, and in big space battles, 50. I could play it in high but it stutters. I use 1024x768 res btw. Also, GREAT game, i recommend it for anyone who enjoy space games.

On high it runs at about 30FPS on my rig, using only 4GB of ram(in total, with other programs) and my cpu is below 30% usage
PS:I get this result in the first training mission.

But sometimes you can't reduce your resolution enough for some games. Then this game is probably amazingly well optimized because his gpu is almost 200% below minimum system requirements.

yeah, but i think nowdays system requirements always aim at 1080p, and if you play something at 720p its actually half of the pixels to handle. its a pretty big boost, and if ur gpu is bottlenecked by the memory performance(wich is the case is most low- mid class gpus when u run something at 1080p coz of ddr3 and 128 or even 64 bits wide bus), the impact is even larger! i actually just bought this game...i´ll upload my results soon as i get them!

Yes, games are tested at least on 1080p. And also, some games are more demanding for the cpu than gpu.
Thnks, add your average fps and settings. :)

I think the fps will drop in intense combats but...still...30 fps on high on MY gpu... WOW. I hope that all games this year will run as good as this one on my rig:))

his cpu is compensating for his gpu problaby ran it in either software or hardware mode sometimes this makes games that would normaly be super laggy run smooth.

well, the trailer doesn't make it look like the game requires a crazy GPU to run, but it worries me that all games nowadays requires such power to run... i was expecting to last at least 3 years with my rig... =/

It really depends on how much effort is put into optimization. Some devs have so much power to work on they forget that most people don't. Lets hope the requirements are over exaggerated.
