Breakaway is one of Amazon's first leaps into the computer game market after purchase of Twitch and Double Helix Studios. Aimed to appeal to game spectators as much as gamers, two teams are locked in a part death match, part capture the flag showdown, in this third person team brawler.
Breakaway runs on Amazon's latest open source engine Lumberyard and as far as we can tell at this point will need a mid to mid-high spec rig to play smoothly at 60 FPS. From what we've seen we think it'll run well on any Direct X 11 card with 2GB of VRAM and so we would recommend the GTX 750 Ti or Radeon HD 6870 as a starting point which likely will be helped by a quad-core processor. But this is early days and it's likely for these to change with the Alpha being released soon.
