Dirt 4 requires a Radeon R9 390 graphics card with a Core i5-4690 3.5GHz or FX-8320 processor to reach the recommended specs, achieving high graphics setting on 1080p. 8 GB will also be needed to achieve the Dirt 4 rec specs and get 60FPS. Dirt 4 needs a graphics card thats at least as powerful as a GeForce GT 440 v2/Radeon HD 5570 1024MB paired with FX-4100/Core i3-530 2.9GHz CPU to match the min specs. This PC setup will deliver 25-35 Frame Per Second at Low graphics setting on 720p resolution. Minimum RAM requirements are 4 GB system memory. Your graphics card will need to be capable of running DirectX 11.00. We suggest a 8 year old PC to play smoothly.

Runs 45-55 fps in medium/low settings, while Dirt Rally runs a crappy 35-47 fps on low/medium setting

This game is a real piece of ****, it's on a level of CMR2. Plus totaly bad optimized. Comare this and Dirt Rally for example. Huge difference.

absolutely, especially if you are aiming for 30fps, even high with some ultra absolutely possible to do. :)
The game is extremely light on the CPU and your GPU should be able to get 60-80fps 1080p medium :)

if you want about 50-70fps at 1080p you will need to go for a mixture of mostly low with some medium settings, the game is Nvidia optimized, so you are lucky :)

The experience will NOT be good, you will most likely get around 25-40fps on low 720p, if that is acceptable to you for a fast paced racer game, then good, because 25-40fps is smooth visually.
