This game is one of the most unoptimized games I've encountered in quite some time. They literally throw all the processing on 1 core. Four cores to work with, but only one core gets used and ofcourse that's not enough unless you have some super efficient i3/5/7 processor that can hopefully bruteforce the problem. Someone please tell the developers it's not 2005 anymore, we use multicore cpus now.

You should be able to. My PC was able to run this poorly, but not at all unplayably. I'm sure your frame rate will suffer at parts, but I think you'll be fine on minimum if you want to give it a try.
