Microsoft Flight Simulator needs a graphics card thats at least as powerful as a GeForce GTX 770/Radeon RX 570 4GB paired with Ryzen R3 1200/Core i5-4460 3.2GHz CPU to match the min specs. This PC setup will deliver 25-35 Frame Per Second at Low graphics setting on 720p resolution. To be able to run at all you will need at least 8 GB system memory. Your GPU is expected to be able to deliver DirectX 11.00. We suggest a 4 year old PC to play smoothly.

I voted no because there's footage of the RTX 2060S running at 4K well under 60. Taking it down to 1440p won't make a big difference from 4K. You should expect about 45-50FPS average with that preset which is still pretty good.

I voted yes because after a recent video test on a 1060, the average FPS is 43. Bringing it up to Ultra has about a 10FPS toll. So you'll just be hitting 30.

Having tried the Alpha for a few days now, With my rig at 1080p I can run Ultra preset 40FPS average, the worse I have experienced is like 25-30FPS. Remember this is still Alpha so it could get worse/better.

I voted yes because...5700XT is close to being the ideal (4k) AMD card for this title. 2700X is the recommended ideal AMD processor, I believe, as is 32GB RAM.

I think this system ought to be looking at substantially better than 1080/60.

...I can hardly run X-plane 11 on 60FPS Ultra at 1080p; how much more a prettier, newr flight simulator at 4K at that? plus you need good internet to stream all the scenery data from the microsoft servers.

XPlane is different. There’s no Vulkan support which is a disadvantage for only AMD cards. The game will get support for it soon. There is a chance a 5700 XT can hit 4k 60 as one of the devs has said the get 4k 45 with a GTX 1060.
