This game is fun. I don't really care for the 30 fps limit like most other people. This is one of those games I can actually just play for hours.

TIP: Play with a controller. You won't notice that 30 fps that much.

I'm about to finish FFX with the next settings:
-Resolution: 1074x768
-Textures: High
-Shadows: Medium
-AO: Off

The game ranges from 20 to 32 FPS, running at 29-30 FPS almost all the time.

So my friend got me this out of nowhere cause he knew I loved final fantasy and loved playing x and x2 but I can't even play it, it runs perfectly fine after I went through the settings but in the middle of cutscenes and sometimes just even the starting cutscene the game would crash and bring me right back to my desktop. Another poorly made port that you can't even enjoy and get involved cause of the crashs.

maybe I have an solution for you
sometimes the game detects only your integrated graphics card (mostly that is an Intel video card)
try to change it to your nvidia video card using nvidia control panel
there you select 3D settings and yo

I've set my Nvidia gpu to be the main for anything game/software related since I got this laptop, just to even make sure I linked some games right tot he the nvidia gpu manually which is what I also did with this game but still crashes on cutsceens

Well you can try to go to Nvidia Control Panel and making the program run using your graphics Card, the exe file should be in Program File(x86) > Steam > steam apps > common > ffx remaster or something, hope this helps!

Check your nvidia gpu settings. if the global settings are set to use the integrated intel HD GPU, the games requirements are not enough to trigger it to use the Nvidia gpu.
you can either make a custom profile for it or change the global settings to the Nvidia card.

Praise Be To Yevon!
It's more than worth it! (if you don't mind 30fps cap anyway...)
Runs just fine. Haven't had issues so far (unless you count turning off the HUD then freaking out because you pressed to talk with something and thought the game froze :P)
