The main character, Alexander Nesterov is a Russian meteorologist who must investigate what happened onboard the ship. But he’s not alone and the North Wind is now plagued by dead crewmen who have undergone a bizarre metamorphosis due to the effects of the incredibly cold climate. Alexander must try to unravel the mystery of the ship captain’s death and discover whether it was the cold or, possibly, something far more sinister

Played it now for the first time, as my PC used to be crap.. Getting locked 60fps with everything maxed out at 1080p, so I guess the game was ahead of its time.

Even with the last update, this game is almost unplayable for me. Maybe because im have a Graphic Card ATI, it is known that this graphics card, Nvidia Physics does not handle well, but it's ridiculous.

It's because of the really bad optimisation of the game...

It says i can run it on max but most of the times the frame drops to less than 20!

Definatly, i got the game as wel and i can run it (with occasional bad cases of lag) on low. So i'm sure you can run it at around medium to high ish settings. I suggest you tweak the options a bit to get it how you want it to be, but yeah i'm sure you'll be having a good time with that game. ^^

Quality review, Squee. Shame that the game's quite linear and flawed. I love horror games, and the concept of Cryostasis had me hooked. Guess I'll just get back to playing Dead Space for now...
