Since you seem to be in need of a whole new computer (I'd suggest getting one if you've got the cash), I'll offer a little bit of advice on that end just in case you want to consider it. You can build a high end rig like the one I've got for about 1400$ at IronsideComputers.com. Most other sites I've seen offer mid-range computers for that price. Don't know about the GD store; haven't checked that one out yet since I'm satisfied with the setup I've got, but you might want to give it a look. Laptops generally aren't any good for gaming, sad to say. :(
