Alice Madness Returns. Madness Returns takes place eleven years after the events of its predecessor, the same amount of time between the two games' releases. Alice was released from Rutledge's Insane Asylum at the end of the original game, and now lives in Victorian London under the care of a psychiatrist, where the traumatic memories of her parents' deaths in a fire continue to haunt her. Although she seemed stable for a decade, she now begins to experience previously repressed memories that indicate that the fire which claimed her parents' lives (which in the original game was seen to have been caused by a cat knocking over an oil lamp near the fireplace) may not have been as accidental as she remembered; these memories will take the form of retcons to the existing backstory.

I'm surprised i got this game to run at 30 fps most of the time with a rig like this,i can put physx on high if i want to,but i don't see any difference,so i put it on low instead.

Wouldn't recommend that. But you run this game on medium/high settings, and trust me, I played this game on low, and it was still beautiful. ;)

On low? .__. Supposedly I have a golden mark, will it lag?

I told you, play on high. Your game will not lag if you keep PhysX off. õ/
You can try it, but I'm telling you, this game is not the most optimized one. ^^

medium with no anti-aliasing and you'll be fine. might be able to push it here and there with some things but mostly have no issue with this game.

you are right there with the recommended on the gpu. i would keep anti-aliasing off and you should have no issue with keeping it over 30 easily, and maybe even between 40-50 though the toughest sections.

maybe but your computer is going to struggle unless you have at least 4 gigs of ram. after upgrading you might be able to even though your gpu is newer but slightly less powerful. i have posted the minimum specs above.

This game and a few others are lagging a lot in areas with a lot of action (3+ enemies on screen). On paper my specs seem OK but what's the issue?
SpeedFan shows everything between 30-40 and some AUX with temps around 95 but I use molex fans so I'm thinking that's a false reading. I've even had lag on The Walking Dead and lowering settings makes no difference on any game.

High with Physx on low or your FPS wont be stable. I run this maxed and see 60FPS solid until use the pepper gun and drops to a min of 37FPS! Leave Physx on low or off. - IMO
