Weapon shots sound much better in Max Payne 1, dont know why they didnt keep original sounds and just add/replace some weapons

This was actually a graphically very demanding game when it released back in 2003... Entry level GPUs from three years later could manage this game only at medium...

I've got this game a few days ago. Installed it but it doesn't run showing an error message:
Exception in startupInit:R_ScriptLoader: Closing bracket "]" in line 1
of "\data\dialogtexts.txt" found without opening bracket!
What can I do??
