If I try to run at 'High' it drops to 50fps quite often.

Is that normal?

I'm trying to run at 75fps which works fine on Medium.

your CPU is probably bottlenecking the 1060 which is too powerful for it

So I recently purchased this here laptop to see if I can use it for both college work and college gaming. The site says I could run this game well, but the game auto-detection and introductory gameplay says otherwise. Am I missing something

If you can get by with around 45-50 fps, then this one is playable at 720p. There is some CPU bottlenecking in this configuration, though.

You can get to 30 FPS if you dial the resolution down to 720p or even 800x600.
You can get a GTX 1050. It's a low-power card that can handle these games well.

I voted yes because i exactly have the same procie and once i had to played with g41 chipset (when my vga was need to be fixed) it could played but with a little lag and blurry (around 15 - 20).
u should be around 20 because Q45 is slightly better than g41
