It is the year 2062 and humanity is at the brink of extinction. Tiberium, the mysterious, alien crystalline structure that has infested Earth for decades and served as the primary reason for years of relentless conflict between the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) and the Brotherhood of Nod, is close to rendering the planet uninhabitable. Mankind is on the verge of extinction when Kane, Nod's prophetic leader, emerges from seclusion to deliver GDI the message that he has developed a system that could control Tiberium and harness its power. But he cannot build this "Tiberium Control Network" without GDI's cooperation. Thus, the two opposing factions – GDI and Nod – inevitably find themselves in desperation for the same cause: to stop Tiberium from extinguishing mankind.

low settings maybe, I was able to play it high settings with no AA or Vsync just fine. If you can run command & Conquer 3, you should be able to run this one, they have the same engine.

you cannot, no, it's a Real Time Tactics game, not RTS like the other CnCs, so you cannot capture if I'm not mistaken (unless the engineers can, and I've missed it.

I sure hope Generals 2 is something special, this game felt like a totally different C&C.

This game is not for people who like the other command and conquer games. It takes out a major part of the series the base building and troop limit is way to small.

I hate the RTS game without build the base, and gathering resources.

My rig plays this game on ultra-high settings without a hickup, 100% smooth framrate on ultra-high. Wonderful game, not as much stratergy as in previous C&Cs.

Tradition may be ruined, but there is enough of their games to play for their tradition. They wanted to appeal to the mass gamers I'd presume, emphasising more on the fun aspects of c&c.
