In The Hell in Vietnam the player takes the role of a US-soldier during the Vietnamese war. In eight unrelated missions he solves varied goals like destroying a radio or mining a road. Practically this results in walking linearly from point A to point B while shooting everything which moves. There are also two rail shooter sequences on a boat respectively on a chopper. The player mostly works alone but sometimes he has three AI colleagues to help him out. The game utilizes the typical shooter controls and the classic "health bar" system.
