Fable Anniversary requires a Radeon HD 4860 graphics card with a Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz or Phenom 9850 Quad-Core processor to reach the recommended specs, achieving high graphics setting on 1080p. Also your PC needs 4 GB RAM to meet the rec specs and run at 60 frames. Fable Anniversary needs a Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz or Athlon II X2 215 processor coupled with a GeForce 7600 GT 256MB to run Fable Anniversary system requirements at minimum requirements. A machine of this performance will return around 30FPS on low settings. Minimum RAM requirements are 3 GB system memory. Your graphics card will need to be capable of running DirectX 9.00.

You definitely can run this game at decent settings. You might want to reduce resolution or switch off AA for better FPS.

with patches this game is quite good now..
first and most imp now u can use same buttons for inventory like RMB LMB FOR LEFT AND RIGHT AND Q , E FOR TAB CHANGE IN INVENTORY....
plus those now u can use ENTER AND BACKSPACE as main UI buttons.

My brother bought it and its total crap, stutter, lag, low frame animations, idiotic menu and inventory, keyboard controls, no mouse in menu you move with A and B key (yes thats how stupid it is)
Nothing really new, just new textures and some light effects other things presented by company are lies
and fun fact: I found my old fable CDs and instelled game, works 100x better than "remastered" one facepalm and they want almost 30 euro for that SHIAT

That's so strange, I downloaded it and I have the same gameplay and frame rates as I had on the lost chapters. I didn't have any issues. The menu sucks and would be even worse if not using controller, but was totally playable for me.

So far i think the game is pretty good. only things i'm not quite fond of are the "no mouse" interface menus and the blur intensity.

Is your game running with your Nvidia card or your Intel HD 4000?
I was having the same problem but shortly after realized that it was running on the Intel HD 4000. If you open the "Nvidia Control Panel" and change the Global Settings to use the "High Performance Nvidia Card" that should fix your problem :)

That pretty much has to be it, Ziggec1's computer is more or less equivalent to mine and I played on max with no frame rate issues at all.

Does anyone have a clue if they plan to include controller support this go around? I prefer to use my wired 360 controller for most games (even though I don't have a 360)

Thanks, the controller support turned out to be awesome! I hear it's awful without due to the menus, but there's even old style Fable and Fable 2/3 control types.

Max settings for sure even at 1080p (at 768p you wont have any problems going with some AA also).

why are the system requirements so high compared to original fable? i would have expected the minimum requirements to actually be the recommended requirements to run on the highest settings but its as if fable anniversary is an entirely different game, i'll guess i have to see what it looks like in max settings on pc.

Upon reading reviews I'd say the main reason for the high requirements is that it's a very bad port directly from Xbox One.

The original Fable was a really great game. If you have never played it before, I definitely suggest getting it. I plan to pick it up even though I beat the original years ago, multiple times. :D

i played this one on xbox 360 and it's exactly like the original, except they added paid DLC (costumes & weapons)

I hated Fable 3 too, but I don't think they'll take out the speed upgrades or make things overly simple, should just be graphics updates.
