The Child of Light is a 2D platformer announced by Ubisoft on August 19th, on a conference before Gamescom 2013. There are no further details revealed about possible platform releases. Child of Light will be powered by the UbiArt Framework Engine, which also powered the Rayman-series. The game is expected to launch in the winter of 2013.

Child of Light requires at least a Radeon HD 4870 or GeForce GTX 260 to meet recommended requirements running on high graphics setting, with 1080p resolution. This hardware should achieve 60FPS. 4 GB will also be needed to achieve the Child of Light rec specs and get 60FPS. Child of Light needs a graphics card thats at least as powerful as a GeForce 8800 GT/Radeon HD 2900 XT 512MB paired with Athlon II X2 240/Core 2 Duo E8200 2.66GHz CPU to match the min specs. This PC setup will deliver 25-35 Frame Per Second at Low graphics setting on 720p resolution. Make sure your GPU can run DirectX 9 or Child of Light won’t run.
