Instead of being called Battlefield 5, the next in the BF series is called Battlefield 1. Set in a high-tech vision of World War 1, 64 player battles are back with greater focus on melee play. Battlefield 1 introduces mounts for the first time, will include flame throwers, gas clouds, artillery and the unstoppable armoured train.
Battlefield 1 is built using the latest version of the Frostbite Engine 3. BF1 will require some pretty high end computer hardware to deliver reliable frame rates at 1080p on high graphics settings. The recommended Battlefield 1 GPU requirement is an Nvidia GTX 1060 3GB or alternatively the RX 480 from AMD. Alongside this you will want 16GB of system memory. The CPU requirement seems rather powerful at present, based on our early beta benchmarks, where it asks for either an Intel Core i7-4790 4-Core 3.6GHz or AMD FX8350 processor, both of which are extremely powerful.
