Your PC will need a graphics card thats as powerful as a GeForce 6800 Series 128MB/Radeon X800 GTO and it should be paired with either a Athlon 64 3400+/Pentium 4 3.40GHz CPU to match the Team Fortress 2 recommended system specs. This PC setup will deliver 60 Frames Per Second on High graphics settings on 1080p monitor resolution. 1 GB will also be needed to achieve the Team Fortress 2 rec specs and get 60FPS. You should also have 0MB system memory for min specs. You will require a DirectX 9.00 GPU. We suggest a 17 year old PC to play smoothly.

Maxed out with AA on full at 1440x900 will give you around 35 FPS, I recommend just disabling the AA, which will give you 55-60 FPS. Since the games key feature isn't exactly the graphics, I don't really see the need to enable AA.

Game-Debate says I have all gold ticks, but in-game at Low Texture Quality and High everything else, the fps friggin goes from 20-100 and just is unstable. HELP

That is because Tf2 uses a lot of particles! It is unstable probably when there are many explosions and pyros that shoot flames at you so I suggest you put texture and models on high and everything else on low, also disable vsync for better fps. If this still doesn't help then pm me!

Yes, this happens with me to it weird, I can run it maxed out at 1366x768 (with a bit of AA) an get 100 FPS. But for me it drops down to like 5 FPS for 2-3 seconds, could this just be server lag?

No. As I said it's because of the large number of particles used by the game. This drop usually appears when you play on 12 vs 12 servers or higher during spams! If you want more fps put everything on low/disabled, except textures and models (you can set them on high), and disable weather effects from advanced options. This should give you a serious average fps boost!

I tried that and I get loads of FPS, but I drop down to 0 FPS for 1 second every few minutes.

Do you use an antivirus? If so then add your entire steam folder to exceptions since there is a folder that is constantly getting new contents and so your antivirus is always scanning making you get low fps. IF YOU DON'T have an antivirus then check my new blog!

My rig is said to get 60 Fps on Medium settings, so I'd say you would be able to play on medium-high without AA... This is just an educated guess, but the game is free, so it never hurts to try :)

Ultra settings should get you 60+ on any server. Oh and btw use fps_max 120 to not get from 300 fps to 60-80 during spams.

You can play on medium-high settings with no AA at 1920x1080, enable Vsync and you will get 60 FPS almost always.

Enable Vsync?! THIS A MULTIPLAYER FPS!! If you enable Vsync your mouse will stutter making your aim terrible.

Vertical Sync removes frame tearing, it has not got a single thing to do with the mouse. Why do you think people enable Vsync in Counter Strike?

Omg... what world are you from? Vsync waits for your screen to refresh and then it draws the frame so it will cause serious mouse aiming since your crosshair will not move smooth on the screen. Do not compare Tf2 with CS because they are totally different. Trust me, I got over 1800 hours in Tf2 and I tried a lot of settings and I can tell you that enabling Vsync can affect your gameplay. Well the real specs for Tf2 are much more higher, these are just outdated.. I would suggest getting Chris max fps config for tf2 (google it since it's easy to find)!

The only thing holding you back for this game is your RAM, I know it meats the minimum requirements but if you want decent performance (40+ FPS) on low settings with no AA at your native resolution, you need 1GB, 2GB would work even better.

RAM? The only thing holding him back is the CPU! Tf2 uses a lot of CPU power since it's full of particles. You need at least a dual core to play this game properly because RAM doesn't change a thing in this game (trust me I am talking from my own experience).

Of course. I think MAX means MAX. For those of you who don't know what MAX means it means absolutely EVERYTHING is on. Yes V-sync is on. yes AA is on. That is what MAX means.
