Your PC will need a graphics card thats as powerful as a GeForce 6800 Series 128MB/Radeon X800 GTO and it should be paired with either a Athlon 64 3400+/Pentium 4 3.40GHz CPU to match the Team Fortress 2 recommended system specs. This PC setup will deliver 60 Frames Per Second on High graphics settings on 1080p monitor resolution. 1 GB will also be needed to achieve the Team Fortress 2 rec specs and get 60FPS. You should also have 0MB system memory for min specs. You will require a DirectX 9.00 GPU. We suggest a 17 year old PC to play smoothly.

well i can just about run it on my windows note book that has an integrated 32mb gpu and a dual core 2ghz processor. i think you could run it good on low to medium pretty smooth.

Also, if I were to change the cfg to the highest possible settings you could imagine (Known as Ultra-High Settings, I'm not really sure) would I still get descent frame rate for the game to be playable?

Yes. Atleast I can with about 100 fps with the Ultra-High settings. (tho mat_picmip -10 has been deleted ;( )

You have DX 7 and the minimum is 8. Once you upgrade to DX 9 (if you want ultra specs) you'll run the game on max with 50+FPS. Both your CPU and GPU reached the recommended specs.

No, at 1920x1080 with everything down to the lowest settings possible you will get around 35-40 FPS.

Set everything to its highest, but set Antialiasing to 0x and if it still lags set shadows just a bit lower.

At the resolution of 1920x1080 everything will be on low and you will get around 30-35 FPS (best case scenario). xaphan90, your question is invalid since it is not possible to run a game at 1080p without a 1080p monitor! Your game will run at 1366x768 which is not 1080p. If you would like I can tell you the settings you will get at that resolution.

I might not show it in my PC specs but I own an external Asus 23" LED monitor that I hook my laptop to via HDMI to get 1080p resolution. Yes if you can please tell me the settings I can actually use to play TF2 in 1080p.

Actually never mind I played through a few quick matches to test it out and following freexavier's advice for settings its very playable with everything except AA at its highest in 1080p. The only thing not working is my ability to stay alive but thats my issue not the games :p

I'm sorry but I have to doubt you, what you are telling is clearly against reality. I run it at 1366x768 with no AA, Bilinear and everything on high except shadows which is in low. My rig is better then yours yet you have a magical ability to get more then 45 FPS which is what I get. I'm telling you that you are only getting around 20-25 FPS.

Doubt me all you want but I had no trouble with TF2 on the settings freexavier suggested and my Intel GPU's drivers are the most current ones under Win7. If I did get 20-25 FPS it didn't affect me actually playing the game and thats all that matters. I got my answer so I no longer need assistance.

BTW my FPS is not 20-25 it is around the 32 mark most of the time from what FRAPS is telling me, no troubles playing TF2 :p

Yes but when there are loads of particles around (which is 50% of the time) it will be 20-25, also 32 is not good, my definition of playable when it comes to games is 40.

We seem to differ on what we see as playable. playable to you may be 40FPS but playable to me is FPS not hampering my ability to play the game. This isn't my first game with FPS running in the 20's or 30's and it hasn't ruined my gaming experience. I can deal with FPS like that until I get my gaming desktop built.
