Game GeForce 7100 GS Inno3D 256MB Edition GeForce 6200 TurboCache

In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce 7100 GS Inno3D 256MB Edition are significantly better than the Nvidia GeForce 6200 TurboCache.

The GeForce 6200 TurboCache was released less than a year after the 7100 GS, and so they are likely to have similar driver support for optimizing performance when running the latest games.

Both GPUs exhibit very poor performance, so rather than upgrading from one to the other you should consider looking at more powerful GPUs. Neither of these will be able to run the latest games in any playable way.

The 7100 GS has 128 MB more video memory than the GeForce 6200 TurboCache, so is likely to be slightly better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. This is supported by the fact that the 7100 GS also has superior memory performance overall.

The 7100 GS has 1.5 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the GeForce 6200 TurboCache, which means that the memory performance of the 7100 GS is marginally better than the GeForce 6200 TurboCache.

The GeForce 7100 GS Inno3D 256MB Edition has 4 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce 6200 TurboCache has 7. However, the actual shader performance of the 7100 GS is 1 and the actual shader performance of the GeForce 6200 TurboCache is 2. The GeForce 6200 TurboCache having 1 better shader performance is not particularly notable, as altogether the 7100 GS performs better when taking into account other relevant data.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewGeForce 7100 GS Inno3D 256MB Edition appears to be a special edition of the GeForce 7100.
On this edition, the amount of SPUs was doubled from 2 to 4. This edition's dedicated memory is 256MB but can go up to 512MB, if at least 1GB of system ram is installed, using Turbo Cache.
The performance is extremely limited and not recommended for any of today's games.
The NVIDIA GeForce 6500 and 6200 graphics processing units (GPUs) featuring NVIDIA TurboCache technology take full advantage of the PCI Express bus to deliver the turbocharged system performance you need to play all the hottest games and applications.
