In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce 4 MX 440 are massively better than the Intel 845GV.

The 845GV has no core clock speed set, so any comparison between Texture and Pixel Fill Rates is not currently possible.

The 845GV was released less than a year after the 4 MX, and so they are likely to have similar driver support for optimizing performance when running the latest games.

Both GPUs exhibit very poor performance, so rather than upgrading from one to the other you should consider looking at more powerful GPUs. Neither of these will be able to run the latest games in any playable way.

The 4 MX has 128 MB video memory, but the 845GV does not have an entry, so the two GPUs cannot be reliably compared in this area.

The 4 MX has 2 Shader Processing Units but the 845GV does not have an entry, so the two GPUs cannot be reliably compared in this area.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewIntel 845GV comes embedded on the Celeron, Celeron D, Pentium 4 CPUS and features an Integrated GPU called ???.
Today's games are, obviously, unplayable.
GeForce4 MX 440 is part of the GeForce4 GPUS released by NVIDIA in 2002. Only compatible with DirectX 7 or less and with a max memory of 128 MB, it can't play today's games. Still, games before 2003 should be fully playable at max settings....
