In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 465 are significantly better than the AMD Radeon HD 7750 Asus 1GB Edition.
The HD 7750 has a 213 MHz higher core clock speed than the GeForce GTX 465, but the GeForce GTX 465 has 12 more Texture Mapping Units than the HD 7750. As a result, the GeForce GTX 465 exhibits a 0.5 GTexel/s better Texture Fill Rate than the HD 7750. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.
The HD 7750 has a 213 MHz higher core clock speed than the GeForce GTX 465, but the GeForce GTX 465 has 16 more Render Output Units than the HD 7750. As a result, the GeForce GTX 465 exhibits a 6.3 GPixel/s better Pixel Fill Rate than the HD 7750. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.
The HD 7750 was released over a year more recently than the GeForce GTX 465, and so the HD 7750 is likely to have better driver support, meaning it will be more optimized for running the latest games when compared to the GeForce GTX 465.
The Radeon HD 7750 Asus 1GB Edition and the GeForce GTX 465 have the same amount of video memory, but are likely to provide slightly different experiences when displaying game textures at high resolutions.
The GeForce GTX 465 has 29.1 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the HD 7750, which means that the memory performance of the GeForce GTX 465 is slightly better than the HD 7750.
The Radeon HD 7750 Asus 1GB Edition has 512 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce GTX 465 has 352. However, the actual shader performance of the HD 7750 is 357 and the actual shader performance of the GeForce GTX 465 is 427. The GeForce GTX 465 having 70 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the GeForce GTX 465 delivers a noticeably smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the HD 7750.
The HD 7750 transistor size technology is 12 nm (nanometers) smaller than the GeForce GTX 465. This means that the HD 7750 is expected to run slightly cooler and achieve higher clock frequencies than the GeForce GTX 465.
The GeForce GTX 465 requires 200 Watts to run but there is no entry for the HD 7750. We would recommend a PSU with at least 550 Watts for the GeForce GTX 465, but we do not have a recommended PSU wattage for the HD 7750.

Mini Review | Radeon HD 7750 Asus 1GB Edition is a tweaked Radeon HD 7750 with a custom cooling system and small increases in the core and memory clocks that went from 800MHz to 820MHz and 1125MHz to 1150MHz, respectively. The performance boost is only slightly and around 1%, according to benchmarks. | GeForce GTX 465 is a high-end GPU based on the 40nm Fermi architecture. It's based on the Fermi GF100 Core (optimized GF104 Core) and offers 352 Shader Processing Units, 42 TMUs and 32 ROPs, on 256-bit memory interface of fast GDDR5. The central unit runs at 607MHz and the memory clock operates at 802MHz. Despite feature more Shader Processing Units than GeForce GTX 460, it's lower clocked. Benchmarks indicate that its performance is around 3% better than the standard version and therefore on level with GeForce GTX 460 v2. Most modern demanding games will run at the highest settings using a 1080p resolution. However, some will require reduced settings to be played optimally. |
