In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia Quadro FX 1500 are noticeably better than the AMD Radeon HD 8350 (OEM).

The HD 8350 was released over three years more recently than the Quadro FX 1500, and so the HD 8350 is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the Quadro FX 1500 when running the latest games.

The HD 8350 has 256 MB more video memory than the Quadro FX 1500, so is likely to be slightly better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. However, the overall memory performance is about the same.

The Quadro FX 1500 has 27.2 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the HD 8350, which means that the memory performance of the Quadro FX 1500 is slightly better than the HD 8350.

The Radeon HD 8350 (OEM) has 80 Shader Processing Units and the Quadro FX 1500 has 7. However, the actual shader performance of the HD 8350 is 26 and the actual shader performance of the Quadro FX 1500 is 3. The HD 8350 having 23 better shader performance is not particularly notable, as altogether the Quadro FX 1500 performs better when taking into account other relevant data.

The Radeon HD 8350 (OEM) requires 25 Watts to run and the Quadro FX 1500 requires 65 Watts. We would recommend a PSU with at least 250 Watts for the HD 8350 and a PSU with at least 350 Watts for the Quadro FX 1500. The Quadro FX 1500 requires 40 Watts more than the HD 8350 to run. Radeon HD 8350 (OEM) is an OEM Only, entry-level Graphics Card based on the first revision of the Terascale Architecture.

Architecture
Terascale was AMD's first Unified Shader Architecture. In addition to being manufactured with a 40nm Technology, against the 55nm of previous Graphics Cards, it supports DirectX 10 and the Shaders now called Shader Processing Units have been redesigned and do all the Graphical work of Pixel and Vertex Shaders.

GPU
It equips a GPU codenamed Cedar PRO which has 1 Compute Units activated and thus offers 80 Shader Processing Units, 8 TMUs and 4 ROPs. The Central Unit Operates at 650MHz.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 512MB frame buffer of GDDR3, through a 64-bit memory interface. The memory clock operates at 800MHz. The size of the frame buffer is adequate.

Features
DirectX 11.0 Support (11.0 Hardware Default) and support for Crossfire, Eyefinity, Stream Acceleration, PowerPlay and other technologies.

Cooling Solution
The Cooling Solution consists of a Single-Fan.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 18W, it requires at least a 250W PSU and it relies entirely on the PCI Slot for power, meaning no extra connectors are required.

Performance
Radeon HD 8350 (OEM) is a Direct Rebrand of Radeon HD 6350 and performs exactly like it.
Gaming benchmarks indicate its performance is extremely limited and even the older GeForce GT 220 is still faster.

System Suggestions
We recommend a modest processor (Intel Celeron) and 2GB of RAM for a system with Radeon HD 8350 (OEM).
The Quadro line of GPU cards emerged in an effort at market segmentation by NVIDIA. In introducing Quadro, NVIDIA was able to charge a premium for essentially the same graphics hardware in professional markets, and direct resources to properly serve the needs of those markets. To differentiate their offerings, NVIDIA used driver software and firmware to enable features vital to segments of the workstation market; e.g., high performance anti-aliased lines and two-sided lighting were reserved for the Quadro product. In addition, improved support through a certified driver program was put in place. These features were of little value in the gaming markets that NVIDIA's products already sold to, but prevented high end customers from using the less expensive products. This practice continues even today although some products use higher capacity faster memory.
