In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the AMD Radeon HD 8650G are massively better than the Intel HD i5 M430.

The Radeon HD 8650G was released over three years more recently than the HD i5 M430, and so the Radeon HD 8650G is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the HD i5 M430 when running the latest games.

The Radeon HD 8650G and the HD i5 M430 have the same amount of video memory, but are likely to provide slightly different experiences when displaying game textures at high resolutions.

The Radeon HD 8650G has 12.8 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the HD i5 M430, which means that the memory performance of the Radeon HD 8650G is slightly better than the HD i5 M430.

The Radeon HD 8650G has 384 Shader Processing Units and the HD i5 M430 has 12. However, the actual shader performance of the Radeon HD 8650G is 276 and the actual shader performance of the HD i5 M430 is 15. The Radeon HD 8650G having 261 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the Radeon HD 8650G delivers a noticeably smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the HD i5 M430.

The Radeon HD 8650G requires 35 Watts to run and the HD i5 M430 requires 35 Watts. The two GPUs require the same amount of wattage to run. As such, there is no need to worry about which will more significantly affect your yearly electricity bills.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewRadeon HD 8650G is an integrated mobile GFX, first seen on the APU A10-5750M, based on the 32nm, Terascale 3 architecture.
It offer 384 Shader Processing Units, 24 TMUs and 8 ROPs, on a DDR3 memory interface of either a 128-bit bus width, if the laptop system RAM's is dual-channelled, or a 64-bit bus width, if not. The central units runs at 533MHz and goes up to 720MHz, in Turbo Mode. The memory clock can operate up to 933MHz, as the max memory supported by the CPU is DDR3-1866.
Its performance depends heavily on whether or not the memory is dual-channelled. Benchmarks put its performance is superior to today's middle-class GPUs such as GeForce GT 540M-GeForce GT 630M or Radeon HD 7650M/7670M. Therefore, modern demanding games can be played with medium detail.
HD i5 M430 is specific version of GMA5700MHD graphics that is built into the 'Intel Core i5 M430' processor. You can only play most of the latest games like Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Batman: Arkham City, Crysis 2 on the lowest settings, but you might experience a small lag. Less demanding games will run from medium to high settings.
