In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M are massively better than the Nvidia GeForce4 Go 440.
The GeForce GTX 765M was released over three years more recently than the GeForce4 Go 440, and so the GeForce GTX 765M is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the GeForce4 Go 440 when running the latest games.
The GeForce GTX 765M has 1984 MB more video memory than the GeForce4 Go 440, so is likely to be much better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. This is supported by the fact that the GeForce GTX 765M also has superior memory performance overall.
The GeForce4 Go 440 has 815.9 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the GeForce GTX 765M, which means that the memory performance of the GeForce4 Go 440 is massively better than the GeForce GTX 765M.
The GeForce GTX 765M has 768 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce4 Go 440 has 2. However, the actual shader performance of the GeForce GTX 765M is 653 and the actual shader performance of the GeForce4 Go 440 is 0. The GeForce GTX 765M having 653 better shader performance is not particularly notable, as altogether the GeForce4 Go 440 performs better when taking into account other relevant data.
The GeForce GTX 765M requires 65 Watts to run but there is no entry for the GeForce4 Go 440.

Mini Review | Overview GeForce GTX 760M is a Performance Mobile Graphics Card based on the first revision of the Kepler Architecture. Architecture The Kepler Architecture was NVIDIA's big step to power efficiency. Each Stream Multiprocessor (SMX) now hosts 192 Shader Processing Units - against the 48 of older Fermi Architecture, and has been redesigned being now clocked at the same speed of the Central Unit. This means they are more energy efficient and will consequently lead to cooler operating temperatures. However, it also means they are weaker. It can be said that one Fermi SMX is as fast as 2 Kepler SMXs. Additionally, and not available in all GPUs, Kepler also introduced the Boost Clock Feature. The Boost Clock is an even higher Clock Speed activated when in gaming mode and becomes the effective speed of the GPU. GPU It equips a GPU Codenamed GK106-N14E-GE-B-A1 which has 4 Stream Multiprocessors activated and thus offers 768 Shader Processing Units, 64 TMUs and 16 ROPs. The Central Unit is clocked at 850MHz. Memory The GPU accesses a 2GB frame buffer of fast GDDR5, through a 128-bit memory interface. The size of the frame buffer is exaggerated and no way benefits the GPU. The Memory Clock Operates at 1002MHz. Features DirectX 11.0 Support (11.0 Hardware Default) and support for SLI, Kepler Boost, Optimus, CUDA, OpenCL, DirectCompute, 3D Vision Surround, PhysX, Realtime Raytracing and other technologies Power Consumption With a rated board TDP of 65W, it is suited for large laptops. Performance Despite being underclocked, when compared to GeForce GTX 650 Ti, GeForce GTX 765M ends up performing better in most cases as fast since the Kepler Boost 2.0 Technology allows an even higher Central Unit Speed, which most times exceeds the 950MHz. Gaming benchmarks indicate its performance is on average with the desktop GeForce GTX 650 Ti. System Suggestions We recommend a Powerful Processor (Intel Core i7 Mobile) and 8GB of RAM for a system with GeForce GTX 765M. | GeForce4 Go 440 is a middle-class GPU part of the GeForce4 Go Series released by in 2002. It's based on the architecture "NV17M", same used on the desktop 'GeForce4 MX440' and technically just a fast 'GeForce4 Go 420'. The performance is very limited, so today's games are unplayable. |
