In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the AMD Radeon HD 7950M are very slightly better than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M.

The GeForce GTX 765M has a 150 MHz higher core clock speed and 56 more Texture Mapping Units than the Radeon HD 7950M. This results in the GeForce GTX 765M providing 48.8 GTexel/s better texturing performance. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The GeForce GTX 765M has a 150 MHz higher core clock speed than the Radeon HD 7950M, but the Radeon HD 7950M has 16 more Render Output Units than the GeForce GTX 765M. As a result, the Radeon HD 7950M exhibits a 8.8 GPixel/s better Pixel Fill Rate than the GeForce GTX 765M. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The GeForce GTX 765M was released over a year more recently than the Radeon HD 7950M, and so the GeForce GTX 765M is likely to have better driver support, meaning it will be more optimized for running the latest games when compared to the Radeon HD 7950M.

The GeForce GTX 765M and the Radeon HD 7950M have the same amount of video memory, but are likely to provide slightly different experiences when displaying game textures at high resolutions.

The Radeon HD 7950M has 63.9 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the GeForce GTX 765M, which means that the memory performance of the Radeon HD 7950M is much better than the GeForce GTX 765M.

The GeForce GTX 765M has 768 Shader Processing Units and the Radeon HD 7950M has 1280. However, the actual shader performance of the GeForce GTX 765M is 653 and the actual shader performance of the Radeon HD 7950M is 762. The Radeon HD 7950M having 109 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the Radeon HD 7950M delivers a noticeably smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the GeForce GTX 765M.

The GeForce GTX 765M requires 65 Watts to run and the Radeon HD 7950M requires 75 Watts. The Radeon HD 7950M requires 10 Watts more than the GeForce GTX 765M to run. The difference is not significant enough for the Radeon HD 7950M to have a noticeably larger impact on your yearly electricity bills than the GeForce GTX 765M.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewOverview
GeForce GTX 760M is a Performance Mobile Graphics Card based on the first revision of the Kepler Architecture.

Architecture
The Kepler Architecture was NVIDIA's big step to power efficiency. Each Stream Multiprocessor (SMX) now hosts 192 Shader Processing Units - against the 48 of older Fermi Architecture, and has been redesigned being now clocked at the same speed of the Central Unit. This means they are more energy efficient and will consequently lead to cooler operating temperatures. However, it also means they are weaker. It can be said that one Fermi SMX is as fast as 2 Kepler SMXs.
Additionally, and not available in all GPUs, Kepler also introduced the Boost Clock Feature. The Boost Clock is an even higher Clock Speed activated when in gaming mode and becomes the effective speed of the GPU.

GPU
It equips a GPU Codenamed GK106-N14E-GE-B-A1 which has 4 Stream Multiprocessors activated and thus offers 768 Shader Processing Units, 64 TMUs and 16 ROPs. The Central Unit is clocked at 850MHz.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 2GB frame buffer of fast GDDR5, through a 128-bit memory interface. The size of the frame buffer is exaggerated and no way benefits the GPU. The Memory Clock Operates at 1002MHz.

Features
DirectX 11.0 Support (11.0 Hardware Default) and support for SLI, Kepler Boost, Optimus, CUDA, OpenCL, DirectCompute, 3D Vision Surround, PhysX, Realtime Raytracing and other technologies

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 65W, it is suited for large laptops.

Performance
Despite being underclocked, when compared to GeForce GTX 650 Ti, GeForce GTX 765M ends up performing better in most cases as fast since the Kepler Boost 2.0 Technology allows an even higher Central Unit Speed, which most times exceeds the 950MHz.
Gaming benchmarks indicate its performance is on average with the desktop GeForce GTX 650 Ti.

System Suggestions
We recommend a Powerful Processor (Intel Core i7 Mobile) and 8GB of RAM for a system with GeForce GTX 765M.
Overview
Radeon HD 7950M was supposed to be a High-End Mobile Graphics Card. However, it was never produced and never made it out of the paper.

Performance
Had it been released, its rumored specifications would put its performance on average with NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 675M.
