In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 EVGA SC Edition are significantly better than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 SLI.

This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The lower ROP count doesn't matter, though, as altogether the GTX 780 manages to provide 2 GPixel/s better pixeling performance. We would recommend a PSU with at least 600 Watts for the GTX 780 and a PSU with at least 600 Watts for the GTX 460. The GTX 460 requires 130 Watts more than the GTX 780 to run. Mini ReviewGeForce GTX 780 EVGA SC Edition is a special edition of the high-end GeForce GTX 780.
This edition has been overclocked out of the box from 863MHz to 941MHz while its boost clock is now of 993MHz. The memory clock was left untouched.
Benchmarks indicate a 6% performance boost when compared to the reference card and so this edition performs on level with GeForce GTX Titan.
GeForce GTX 460 SLI is a solution of two GeForce GTX 460 put together using NVIDIA'S SLI technology.
SLI relies a lot on proper driver support and may cause micro stuttering in FPS below 30. This means this combination might even perform worse than a single GTX 460.
The optimal performance it delivers is slightly better than a single GeForce GTX 480.
Therefore, this combination is sufficient for gaming at 1080p and most demanding games can be played at the highest settings.
