In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 Galaxy HOF 2GB Edition are significantly better than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 Zotac AMP Edition.

The GTX 770 has a 156 MHz higher core clock speed and 48 more Texture Mapping Units than the GTX 660. This results in the GTX 770 providing 70.2 GTexel/s better texturing performance. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The GTX 770 has a 156 MHz higher core clock speed and 8 more Render Output Units than the GTX 660. This results in the GTX 770 providing 13.4 GPixel/s better pixeling performance. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The GTX 770 was released less than a year after the GTX 660, and so they are likely to have similar driver support for optimizing performance when running the latest games.

Both GPUs exhibit very powerful performance, so it probably isn't worth upgrading from one to the other, as both are capable of running even the most demanding games at the highest settings.

The GeForce GTX 770 Galaxy HOF 2GB Edition and the GeForce GTX 660 Zotac AMP Edition have the same amount of video memory, but are likely to provide slightly different experiences when displaying game textures at high resolutions.

The GTX 770 has 65.8 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the GTX 660, which means that the memory performance of the GTX 770 is much better than the GTX 660.

The GeForce GTX 770 Galaxy HOF 2GB Edition has 1536 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce GTX 660 Zotac AMP Edition has 960. However, the actual shader performance of the GTX 770 is 1926 and the actual shader performance of the GTX 660 is 1067. The GTX 770 having 859 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the GTX 770 delivers a massively smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the GTX 660.

The GeForce GTX 770 Galaxy HOF 2GB Edition requires 230 Watts to run but there is no entry for the GeForce GTX 660 Zotac AMP Edition. We would recommend a PSU with at least 600 Watts for the GTX 770.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewGeForce GTX 770 Galaxy HOF 2GB Edition is a special edition of the high-end GeForce GTX 770.
This edition comes with a custom triple fan cooling solution and has been overclocked out of the box from 1202MHz to 1085MHz while its boost clock is now of 1254MHz. The memory clock was left untouched.
Benchmarks indicate a 9% performance boost when compared to the reference card and so this edition performs considerably better than a GeForce GTX 590.
GeForce GTX 660 Zotac AMP Edition a special edition of GeForce GTX 660.
The new features include a new cooling system and in terms of overclocking, the base-clock was increased from 980MHz to 1046MHz and the boost clock can now reach 1111MHz, instead of 1033MHz. The memory clock was raised to 1652MHz.
Benchmarks indicate a 5.5% performance when compared to the reference card.
