Mini ReviewRadeon R9 270X Sapphire Dual-X 4GB OC Edition is a special edition of the high-end Radeon R9 270X.
This edition comes with a custom cooling system called "Vapor-X", which reduces the card's temperature under load, significantly and comes overclocked out of the box in the central unit that was increased from 1000MHz to 1020MHz, while the Boost clock is now of 1070MHz.
Furthermore, the card has twice as much memory when compared to the reference card. However, this card will not benefit from extra memory and thus such feature ends up being useless.
Expect little or no performance boost over the standard edition and exactly the same performance as "Radeon R9 270X Sapphire Dual-X 2GB OC Edition"
GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB is a high-end GFX based on the 90nm variant of the first-shader unified architecture.
It's based on the G80 Core and offers 128 Shader Processing Units, 32 TMUs and 24 ROPs, on a 384-bit memory interface of GDDR3. The central unit runs at 576MHz and the memory clock operates 900MHz. It will consume no more than 158 Watt.
Despite being based on the same chip as 8800 GTS, it offers extra SPUs and TMUs and is not, therefore, directly related.
Today's modern demanding games can be played at medium or high settings smoothly. However, DirectX 11 based games aren't supported.
