This edition comes with a custom dual-fan cooling solution which by itself should allow a slight performance boost, as GeForce GTX 760 benefits from the GPU Boost 2.0 technology.
Also, it has been overclocked out of the box from 980MHz to 1085MHz while its boost clock is now of 1150MHz. The memory clock was left untouched. Furthermore, the frame buffer was doubled to 4GB though this will not boost its performance and can be addressed as a gimmick - marketing to lure consumers into paying more for the same product.
Benchmarks indicate a 7% performance boost when compared to the reference card and so this edition performs on level with GeForce GTX 670.
Radeon HD 7770 Sapphire Edition is a special edition of the Radeon HD 7770 1GB GDDR5, which is a high-end GPU part of the Radeon HD 7000 Series released by AMD in 2011/2012.
We did not identify any OC nor any new relevant features. We believe the description provided by the manufacturer (Sapphire Technology Limited) is quite tricky since what is said to be included in the Radeon HD 7770 Sapphire Edition, is already included on the original edition from the start. Therefore, the performance should be exactly like the standard Radeon HD 7770.
The most demanding games will run on the highest settings but not at extreme resolutions (due to the limited memory size) and not paired with extremely demanding technologies like Tesselation (that require huge processing power). Modern, less demanding games, will run fluently at the highest settings possible.
