In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Intel HD Graphics 4400 Desktop are very slightly better than the Intel HD Graphics P4700.

The Graphics 4400 has no core clock speed set, so any comparison between Texture and Pixel Fill Rates is not currently possible.

The Graphics 4400 was released less than a year after the HD Graphics P4700, and so they are likely to have similar driver support for optimizing performance when running the latest games.

The HD Graphics P4700 and the HD Graphics 4400 Desktop have the same amount of video memory, but are likely to provide slightly different experiences when displaying game textures at high resolutions.

The memory bandwidth of the HD Graphics P4700 and the HD Graphics 4400 Desktop are the same, which means the HD Graphics P4700 and the Graphics 4400 have equal limitations when it comes to graphical data transfer.

The HD Graphics P4700 has 20 Shader Processing Units and the HD Graphics 4400 Desktop has 80. However, the actual shader performance of the HD Graphics P4700 is 127 and the actual shader performance of the Graphics 4400 is 0. The HD Graphics P4700 having 127 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the HD Graphics P4700 delivers a marginally smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the Graphics 4400.

The HD Graphics P4700 requires 86 Watts to run but there is no entry for the HD Graphics 4400 Desktop.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewIntel HD Graphics P4700 are integrated graphics in the Haswell Xeon Server processors.
Their performance depends on the processor they are integrated on, as the latter defines the Base and Boost Clock, as well as on the SYSTEM RAM, which defines the operating memory clock, and whether the GPU accesses a 64-bit or 128-bit memory interface.
Best case scenario, the Intel HD Graphics P4700 perform very slightly below Intel HD 4600 Graphics and so most modern demanding games will have to be played with the lowest settings, while a few aren't even playable.
Intel HD Graphics 4400 Desktop is a variant of Intel HD Graphics 4600 Desktop, for ULV processors.
It features 20 Execution Units (80 Shader Processing Units) and its central-unit speed will range between XXXMHz and 1150MHz (Turbo Boost) and that the fastest memory supported is DDR3-1600 meaning its memory-clock will operate at 800MHz, at the most.
Compared to Intel HD Graphics 4600 Desktop, its performance is only slightly lower but its TDP is significantly lower.
