In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the AMD Radeon HD 6570 v2 Sapphire 1GB Edition are marginally better than the AMD Radeon HD 5570 1024MB.

The HD 6570 and the HD 5570 have the same core clock speed of 650 MHz, but the HD 6570 has 4 more Texture Mapping Units than the HD 5570. As a result, the HD 6570 exhibits a 2.6 GTexel/s better Texture Fill Rate than the HD 5570. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The HD 6570 and the HD 5570 have both the same core clock speed and the same Pixel Fill Rate. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The HD 6570 was released over a year more recently than the HD 5570, and so the HD 6570 is likely to have better driver support, meaning it will be more optimized for running the latest games when compared to the HD 5570.

The Radeon HD 6570 v2 Sapphire 1GB Edition and the Radeon HD 5570 1024MB have the same amount of video memory, but are likely to provide slightly different experiences when displaying game textures at high resolutions.

The HD 5570 has 3.2 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the HD 6570, which means that the memory performance of the HD 5570 is marginally better than the HD 6570.

The Radeon HD 6570 v2 Sapphire 1GB Edition has 480 Shader Processing Units and the Radeon HD 5570 1024MB has 400. However, the actual shader performance of the HD 6570 is 156 and the actual shader performance of the HD 5570 is 169. The HD 5570 having 13 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the HD 5570 delivers a marginally smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the HD 6570.

The Radeon HD 6570 v2 Sapphire 1GB Edition requires 44 Watts to run and the Radeon HD 5570 1024MB requires 42 Watts. We would recommend a PSU with at least 400 Watts for the HD 6570 and a PSU with at least 400 Watts for the HD 5570. The HD 6570 requires 2 Watts more than the HD 5570 to run. The difference is not significant enough for the HD 6570 to have a noticeably larger impact on your yearly electricity bills than the HD 5570.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewOverview
Radeon HD 6570 v2 Sapphire 1GB Edition is a special edition of AMD's middle-class Radeon HD 6570, created by Sapphire.

Overclock Out of The Box
The Clock Frequencies of both Central Unit and Operating Memory Clock Remain the Same.

Cooling Solution
The Cooling System remains the same.

Without Overclocking Out of The Box, Radeon HD 6570 v2 Sapphire 1GB Edition is as fast as the reference Radeon HD 6570 v2.
The Evergreen series is a family of GPUs developed by AMD graphics products division. The existence was spotted on a presentation slide from AMD Technology Analyst Day July 2007 as 'R8xx'. ATI held a press event in the USS Hornet museum on September 10, 2009 and announced ATI Eyefinity multi-display technology and specifications of the Radeon HD 5800 series' variants. The first variants of the Radeon HD 5800 series were launched September 23, 2009, with the HD 5700 series launching October 12 and HD 5970 launching on November 18 The HD 5670, was launched on January 14, 2010, and the HD 5500 and 5400 series were launched in February of 2010, completing what has appeared to be most of ATI's Evergreen GPU lineup.
Demand so greatly outweighed supply that more than two months after launch, many online retailers were still having trouble keeping the 5800 and 5900 series in stock.
