In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce 940MX 2GB are massively better than the Nvidia Quadro NVS 320M.

The GeForce 940MX 2GB was released over three years more recently than the Quadro NVS 320M, and so the GeForce 940MX 2GB is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the Quadro NVS 320M when running the latest games.

The GeForce 940MX 2GB has 1536 MB more video memory than the Quadro NVS 320M, so is likely to be much better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. However, the overall memory performance is about the same.

The Quadro NVS 320M has 6.4 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the GeForce 940MX 2GB, which means that the memory performance of the Quadro NVS 320M is marginally better than the GeForce 940MX 2GB.

The GeForce 940MX 2GB has 384 Shader Processing Units and the Quadro NVS 320M has 32. However, the actual shader performance of the GeForce 940MX 2GB is 644 and the actual shader performance of the Quadro NVS 320M is 18. The GeForce 940MX 2GB having 626 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the GeForce 940MX 2GB delivers a noticeably smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the Quadro NVS 320M.

The GeForce 940MX 2GB transistor size technology is 52 nm (nanometers) smaller than the Quadro NVS 320M. This means that the GeForce 940MX 2GB is expected to run massively cooler and achieve higher clock frequencies than the Quadro NVS 320M.

The GeForce 940MX 2GB requires 25 Watts to run and the Quadro NVS 320M requires 20 Watts. The GeForce 940MX 2GB requires 5 Watts more than the Quadro NVS 320M to run. The difference is not significant enough for the GeForce 940MX 2GB to have a noticeably larger impact on your yearly electricity bills than the Quadro NVS 320M.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewOverview
GeForce 940MX 2GB is a Middle-Class Mobile Graphics Card based on the Maxwell Architecture.

Architecture
GeForce 940MX 2GB Features a GPU Codenamed GM108-N16S-GTR which is a First Gen Maxwell GPU and is identical to the GM108-N16S-GT-S used on GeForce 940M but with the addition of GDDR5 Support.
GM108-N16S-GTR has 3 Compute Units Unlocked and thus offers 384 Shader Processing Units, 24 TMUs and 8 ROPs.

GPU
The Central Unit is Clocked at 1122Hz and goes up to 1242MHz, in Turbo Mode.

Memory: Speed
The GPU is equipped with DDR3 and Accesses the Frame Buffer through a 64-bit Memory Interface. The Memory Clock Operates at 1001MHz.

Memory: Frame Buffer
The GPU can fill up a Memory Pool of up to 2GB.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 25W, it is suited for small and medium sized laptops.

Performance
Equipped with DDR3, GeForce GT 940MX is only slightly faster than GeForce GT 940M.

System Suggestions
GeForce 940MX 2GB is best suited for resolutions up to and including 1366x768. We Recommend a Middle-Class Processor and 8GB of RAM for Optimal Performance.
Quadro NVS 320M is an upper-middle business card with support for special drivers that are certified for professional applications like Microsoft Office Suite, Hummingbird Exceed, Lotus Notes, etc. It's part of the Quadro NVS Mobile Series released by NVIDIA, in 2006/2007/2010.
Though business cards have no driver support for games, some of them deliver astonishing performance (e.g. Quadro 6000, Tesla C2075). Quadro NVS 320M, however, isn't one of them but compared to the previous models, it delivers much better performance. The performance should be enough to handle demanding games like, Crysis 2, on the lowest settings possible but games like Metro 2033 are probably unplayable at the lowest settings.
