In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 Palit JetStream 2GB Edition are significantly better than the AMD Radeon R7 250 Sapphire 1GB Edition Crossfire.

The GTX 770 has a 150 MHz higher core clock speed and 80 more Texture Mapping Units than the R7 250. This results in the GTX 770 providing 99.2 GTexel/s better texturing performance. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The GTX 770 has a 150 MHz higher core clock speed and 16 more Render Output Units than the R7 250. This results in the GTX 770 providing 20.8 GPixel/s better pixeling performance. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The R7 250 was released less than a year after the GTX 770, and so they are likely to have similar driver support for optimizing performance when running the latest games.

The Radeon R7 250 Sapphire 1GB Edition Crossfire and the GeForce GTX 770 Palit JetStream 2GB Edition have the same amount of video memory, but are likely to provide slightly different experiences when displaying game textures at high resolutions.

The GTX 770 has 77.1 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the R7 250, which means that the memory performance of the GTX 770 is much better than the R7 250.

The Radeon R7 250 Sapphire 1GB Edition Crossfire has 768 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce GTX 770 Palit JetStream 2GB Edition has 1536. However, the actual shader performance of the R7 250 is 685 and the actual shader performance of the GTX 770 is 1846. The GTX 770 having 1161 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the GTX 770 delivers a massively smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the R7 250.

The Radeon R7 250 Sapphire 1GB Edition Crossfire requires 130 Watts to run but there is no entry for the GeForce GTX 770 Palit JetStream 2GB Edition. We would recommend a PSU with at least 500 Watts for the R7 250 and a PSU with at least 550 Watts for the GTX 770. The GTX 770 has been recommended a PSU with 50 Watts more than the R7 250. The difference is significant enough that the GTX 770 may have a slight adverse affect on your yearly electricity bills in comparison to the R7 250.

Benchmarks Indicate no Performance Boost over the Reference Radeon R7 250 1GB in Crossfire.

System Suggestions
Radeon R7 250 Sapphire 1GB Edition Crossfire is best suited for resolutions up to and including 1920x1080. We Recommend a Performance Processor and 8GB of RAM for Optimal Performance.
GeForce GTX 770 Palit JetStream 2GB Edition is a special edition of the high-end GeForce GTX 770.
This edition comes with a custom triple fan cooling solution which by itself should allow a slight performance boost, as GeForce GTX 770 benefits from the GPU Boost 2.0 technology.
Also, it has been overclocked out of the box from 1046MHz to 1150MHz while its boost clock is now of 1202MHz. The memory clock was left untouched.
Benchmarks indicate a 6% performance boost when compared to the reference card and so this edition performs very slightly better than GeForce GTX 590.
