In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the AMD Radeon RX 470 XFX RS Triple X 4GB are significantly better than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 MSI OC 2GB Edition.

It equips a GPU Codenamed Ellesmere PRO which has 24 SM activated and thus 2048 Shader Processing Units, 128 TMUs and 32 ROPs.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 4GB frame buffer of Fast GDDR5, through a 256-bit memory interface, while the memory clock operates at 1750MHz.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 120W, it requires at least a 450W PSU with one available 6-pin connector.

Performance
The XFX RS Triple X RX 470 should run most modern 2016 AAA games at 1080p on high graphics settings.

The new features include the Propeller Blade Technology solution which generates 20% more airflow than traditional fan design, according to MSI.
In terms of overclocking, the base-clock was increased from 980MHz to 1006MHz and the boost clock can now reach 1072MHz, instead of 1033MHz. The memory clock was left untouched.
The overclocking is therefore somewhat significant and the performance boost is around 5% when compared to the standard GeForce GTX 660.
