In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the AMD Radeon RX 570 PowerColor Red Dragon 4GB are noticeably better than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 Zotac AMP! Edition.
The RX 570 has a 18 MHz higher core clock speed and the same number of Texture Mapping Units as the GTX 770. This results in the RX 570 providing 2.3 GTexel/s better texturing performance. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.
The RX 570 was released over three years more recently than the GTX 770, and so the RX 570 is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the GTX 770 when running the latest games.
Both GPUs exhibit very powerful performance, so it probably isn't worth upgrading from one to the other, as both are capable of running even the most demanding games at the highest settings.

The RX 570 having 714 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the RX 570 delivers a noticeably smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the GTX 770.
The RX 570 transistor size technology is 14 nm (nanometers) smaller than the GTX 770. This means that the RX 570 is expected to run slightly cooler and achieve higher clock frequencies than the GTX 770.
The Radeon RX 570 PowerColor Red Dragon 4GB requires 120 Watts to run but there is no entry for the GeForce GTX 770 Zotac AMP! Edition. We would recommend a PSU with at least 450 Watts for the RX 570 and a PSU with at least 600 Watts for the GTX 770. The GTX 770 has been recommended a PSU with 150 Watts more than the RX 570. The difference is significant enough that the GTX 770 may have an adverse affect on your yearly electricity bills in comparison to the RX 570.

Mini Review | Overview First off we should point out that this is not the new AMD Vega graphics card line. These new AMD Radeon RX 500 series cards are an uprated version of the RX 400 series that they are replacing. This PowerColor RX 570 graphics card is one of the higher performance models from the new AMD Radeon RX 500 Series. The AMD PowerColor Red Dragon RX 570 4GB graphics card released in April 2017 as an AMD performance gaming graphics card. This card competes against Nvidia's GTX 1050 Ti and replaces the older Radeon RX 470. As a Polaris refresh, the RX 570 runs at a slightly faster clock speed than the RX 470. Architecture It is powered by the 14nm Pollaris 20 GPU, which has 2048 shader processing units, 128 TMUs and 32 ROPs. GPU The PowerColor Red Dragon RX 570 processing central unit runs at 1168MHz and goes up to 1250MHz, when the boost mode is triggered. The reference RX 570 card's boost clock is 1244MHz Memory The PowerColor Red Dragon RX 570 comes with a 4GB frame buffer of GDDR5, through a 256-bit memory interface, while the memory clock operates at 1750MHz. Power Consumption The PowerColor Red Dragon RX 570 has a rated board TDP of 120W, it requires at least a 400W PSU with one available 6-pin connector. Performance The AMD RX 570 PowerColor Red Dragon delivers a Mid/High graphical performance for 2017. with the RX570 capable of running most triple AAA titles released during 2017 on medium to high graphics settings at a 1080p screen resolution. With some adjustments and lowering anti aliasing this RX570 4GB card can confidently maintain 60+ frames per seconds on high graphic settings at 1080p. Moving to 1440p screen resolution and the graphics card may need to be adjusted down to medium in order to maintain 50-60+ fps. System Suggestions The RX 570 is best suited for resolutions up to and including 1920x1080. We recommend a mid range R5 Ryzen processor and at least 8GB of system memory for optimal gaming performance from the RX 570. | GeForce GTX 770 Zotac AMP! Edition is a special edition of GeForce GTX 770. This edition comes with a custom dual fan cooling solution which by itself should allow a slight performance boost, as GeForce GTX 770 benefits from the GPU Boost 2.0 technology. Also, it has been overclocked out of the box from 1046MHz to 1150MHz while its boost clock is now of 1202MHz. The memory clock was increased to 1800MHz. Benchmarks indicate a 8% performance boost when compared to the reference card and so this edition performs slightly better than GeForce GTX 590. |
