In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti are significantly better than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 MSI Sea Hawk 8GB Edition.

The GTX 1080 has a 358 MHz higher core clock speed than the RTX 2080 Ti, but the RTX 2080 Ti has 112 more Texture Mapping Units than the GTX 1080. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The GeForce RTX 2080 Ti requires 260 Watts to run and the GeForce GTX 1080 MSI Sea Hawk 8GB Edition requires 180 Watts. We would recommend a PSU with at least 650 Watts for the RTX 2080 Ti and a PSU with at least 500 Watts for the GTX 1080. The RTX 2080 Ti requires 80 Watts more than the GTX 1080 to run.
