In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Ti are significantly better than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 2050 Ti 4GB.

The GTX 1070 Ti has a 317 MHz higher core clock speed and 104 more Texture Mapping Units than the GTX 2050 Ti. This results in the GTX 1070 Ti providing 182.4 GTexel/s better texturing performance. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The GTX 1070 Ti has a 317 MHz higher core clock speed and 32 more Render Output Units than the GTX 2050 Ti. This results in the GTX 1070 Ti providing 61.5 GPixel/s better pixeling performance. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The GTX 1070 Ti was released over three years more recently than the GTX 2050 Ti, and so the GTX 1070 Ti is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the GTX 2050 Ti when running the latest games.

Both GPUs exhibit very powerful performance, so it probably isn't worth upgrading from one to the other, as both are capable of running even the most demanding games at the highest settings.

The GTX 1070 Ti has 4096 MB more video memory than the GTX 2050 Ti, so is likely to be much better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. This is supported by the fact that the GTX 1070 Ti also has superior memory performance overall.

The GTX 1070 Ti has 144.2 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the GTX 2050 Ti, which means that the memory performance of the GTX 1070 Ti is massively better than the GTX 2050 Ti.

The GeForce GTX 2050 Ti 4GB has 768 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti has 2304. However, the actual shader performance of the GTX 2050 Ti is 1069 and the actual shader performance of the GTX 1070 Ti is 5235. The GTX 1070 Ti having 4166 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the GTX 1070 Ti delivers a massively smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the GTX 2050 Ti.

The GeForce GTX 2050 Ti 4GB requires 75 Watts to run and the GeForce GTX 1070 Ti requires 180 Watts. We would recommend a PSU with at least 300 Watts for the GTX 2050 Ti and a PSU with at least 500 Watts for the GTX 1070 Ti. The GTX 1070 Ti requires 105 Watts more than the GTX 2050 Ti to run. The difference is significant enough that the GTX 1070 Ti may have an adverse affect on your yearly electricity bills in comparison to the GTX 2050 Ti.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewOverview
The GeForce GTX 2050 Ti is a rumoured Nvidia lower-end Turing graphics card that will be announced in 2019. It is competing against AMDs more affordable gaming cards.

Architecture
The Turing Architecture aims for 30-50% as much performance as the previous-gen Pascal Architecture.

GPU
It equips a GPU codenamed GT107 which has [xxx] SM activated and [xxx] Shader Processing Units, [xxx] TMUs and [xxx] ROPs. The central unit runs at [xxx]MHz and goes up to [xxx]MHz when the Boost Clock is triggered in game.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 4GB frame buffer of fast GDDR5 through a 128-bit memory interface, while the Memory Clock Operates at 3504MHz.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 75W, it relies entirely on the PCI Slot for power, meaning no extra connectors are required.

Performance
The GTX 2050 Ti will enable mid-level graphics performance on modern AAA 2019 released games. Although there will be variations on this frame rate we expect this card to deliver around 55+ FPS on medium graphics settings at a 1080p screen resolution.
Comparatively, this card will be faster than the performance of the outgoing GTX 1050 Ti

System Suggestions
GeForce GTX 2050 Ti is best suited for resolutions up to and including 1920x1080. We recommend a modern CPU like the i5-7500 and 12GB of RAM for minimal system bottleneck.
Overview
The GeForce GTX 1070 Ti is a High-End Graphics Card based on the Pascal Architecture.

Architecture
It equips a GPU Codenamed GP104-300-A1 which is a cut-down GTX 1080 Pascal GPU and has 19 SM activated, offering 2432 Shader Processing Units, 152 TMUs and 64 ROPs.

GPU
The central unit runs at 1607MHz and goes up to 1683MHz in Turbo Mode.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 8GB frame buffer of Fast GDDR5 through a 256-bit memory interface, while the Memory Clock Operates at 2002MHz, 8GHz effective.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 180W, it requires at least a 500W PSU with one available 8-pin connector.

Performance
The GTX 1070 Ti is a high end performance GPU, capable of gaming at 1440p across all modern 2018 AAA games at high graphics settings and delivering 60+FPS.

System Suggestions
GeForce GTX 1070 Ti is best suited for resolutions up to and including 2560x1600. We recommend a High-End Processor and 16GB of RAM for Optimal Performance.
