Game | GeForce RTX 2080 Ti SLI | GeForce GTX 570 GS-GLH Edition |
In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti SLI are massively better than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 GS-GLH Edition.
The RTX 2080 Ti has a 550 MHz higher core clock speed and 212 more Texture Mapping Units than the GTX 570. This results in the RTX 2080 Ti providing 319.2 GTexel/s better texturing performance. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.
The RTX 2080 Ti has a 550 MHz higher core clock speed and 48 more Render Output Units than the GTX 570. This results in the RTX 2080 Ti providing 86.8 GPixel/s better pixeling performance. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.
The RTX 2080 Ti was released over three years more recently than the GTX 570, and so the RTX 2080 Ti is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the GTX 570 when running the latest games.
Both GPUs exhibit very powerful performance, so it probably isn't worth upgrading from one to the other, as both are capable of running even the most demanding games at the highest settings.
The RTX 2080 Ti has 9984 MB more video memory than the GTX 570, so is likely to be much better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. This is supported by the fact that the RTX 2080 Ti also has superior memory performance overall.
The RTX 2080 Ti has 456 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the GTX 570, which means that the memory performance of the RTX 2080 Ti is massively better than the GTX 570.
The GeForce RTX 2080 Ti SLI has 4352 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce GTX 570 GS-GLH Edition has 480. However, the actual shader performance of the RTX 2080 Ti is 7116 and the actual shader performance of the GTX 570 is 768. The RTX 2080 Ti having 6348 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the RTX 2080 Ti delivers a massively smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the GTX 570.
The RTX 2080 Ti transistor size technology is 28 nm (nanometers) smaller than the GTX 570. This means that the RTX 2080 Ti is expected to run slightly cooler and achieve higher clock frequencies than the GTX 570.
The GeForce RTX 2080 Ti SLI requires 260 Watts to run and the GeForce GTX 570 GS-GLH Edition requires 219 Watts. We would recommend a PSU with at least 650 Watts for the RTX 2080 Ti and a PSU with at least 550 Watts for the GTX 570. The RTX 2080 Ti requires 41 Watts more than the GTX 570 to run. The difference is significant enough that the RTX 2080 Ti may have a slight adverse affect on your yearly electricity bills in comparison to the GTX 570.

Mini Review | Overview GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is the top RTX 20 Series graphics card and considered an Enthusiast graphics card based on the Turing architecture. Architecture The Turing architecture represents a process shrink down to 12nm compared to 14nm Pascal. The Turing architecture provides the world's first consumer support for real-time ray-tracing technology, or RTX. GPU It equips a GPU Codenamed TU102 which has 4352 Shader Processing Units, 272 TMUs and 88 ROPs. The central unit runs at 1350MHz and goes up to 1545MHz in Boost mode. It also has 544 Tensor Cores for AI purposes. Memory The GPU accesses an 11GB frame buffer of first-gen GDDR6 memory through a 352-bit memory interface, while the Memory clock operates at 1750MHz, or 14GHz effective. Power Consumption With a rated board TDP of 285W, it requires at least a 650W PSU with two 8-pin power connectors. System Suggestions GeForce RTX 2080 Ti is best suited for resolutions up to and including 3840x2160. We recommend a top-End Processor and at least 16GB of RAM for optimal performance. | GeForce GTX 570 GS-GLH Edition is a special edition of the powerful GeForce GTX 570. See the standard version for more information about it. The differences include increased memory and core clocks, from 1900MHz to 2000MHz and from 732MHz to 800MHz, respectively. Compared to the standard version, the performance boost is quite significant and the idea was to make it closer to the GeForce GTX 580, pushing the GPU's architecture 'GF110' to the limit. However, GeForce GTX 580, still performs much better, as it features extra CUDA cores and a higher quality Bus Width and the clock increases do not fully compensate this disadvantage but shorten it considerably. All games, including demanding one's, will run on the highest settings. |
