In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce 6150 SE 256MB are massively better than the Nvidia GeForce GTX 2060 3GB GDDR5.

The GTX 2060 was released over three years more recently than the 6150 SE, and so the GTX 2060 is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the 6150 SE when running the latest games.

Both GPUs exhibit very poor performance, so rather than upgrading from one to the other you should consider looking at more powerful GPUs. Neither of these will be able to run the latest games in any playable way.

The GTX 2060 has 2816 MB more video memory than the 6150 SE, so is likely to be much better at displaying game textures at higher resolutions. This is supported by the fact that the GTX 2060 also has superior memory performance overall.

The GTX 2060 has 144 GB/sec greater memory bandwidth than the 6150 SE, which means that the memory performance of the GTX 2060 is massively better than the 6150 SE.

The GeForce GTX 2060 3GB GDDR5 has 1920 Shader Processing Units and the GeForce 6150 SE 256MB has 2. However, the actual shader performance of the GTX 2060 is 3226 and the actual shader performance of the 6150 SE is 1. The GTX 2060 having 3225 better shader performance and an altogether better performance when taking into account other relevant data means that the GTX 2060 delivers a massively smoother and more efficient experience when processing graphical data than the 6150 SE.

The GeForce GTX 2060 3GB GDDR5 requires 150 Watts to run but there is no entry for the GeForce 6150 SE 256MB. We would recommend a PSU with at least 450 Watts for the GTX 2060.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewOverview GeForce RTX 2060 3GB GDDR5 is a mid-range GeForce 20 Series graphics card and considered a great price to performance graphics card based on the Turing architecture. Architecture The Turing architecture represents a process shrink down to 12nm compared to 14nm Pascal. Unlike the RTX series, the GTX series does not support real-time ray-tracing. The GeForce GTX 2060 3GB GDDR5 excels at 1080p screen resolution. GPU It equips a Turing GPU codenamed TU106 which has 1920 Shader Processing Units, 120 TMUs and 47 ROPs. The central unit runs at 1365 MHz and goes up to 1680 MHz, in Boost mode. Memory The GPU accesses a 3GB frame buffer of slower GDDR5 memory compared to the GDDR6 model, running through a 192-bit memory interface, while the Memory clock operates at 1500MHz, or 14GHz effective. The limited video memory available means the GTX 2060 3GB will struggle at 1440p resolution. Power Consumption With a rated board TDP of 150W, it requires at least a 450W PSU with an 8-pin power connector. System Suggestions GeForce GTX 2060 3GB GDDR5 is best suited for resolutions up to and including 1920 x 1080. We recommend a mid-range Processor and at least 16GB of RAM for optimal performance. The NVIDIA GeForce 6500, 6200, 6150 and 6100 GPUs feature a revolutionary design that delivers best-in-class performance on today's hottest games and applications. The only GPUs in their class to support Microsoft DirectX 9.0 Shader Model 3.0, these GPUs power the latest effects without compromising performance. Further, these GPUs include NVIDIA PureVideo to deliver crisp, vibrant video to the PC.
