In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Ti SLI are significantly better than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super 8GB.

The RTX 2080 has a 300 MHz higher core clock speed than the RTX 2080 Ti, but the RTX 2080 Ti has 112 more Texture Mapping Units than the RTX 2080. As a result, the RTX 2080 Ti exhibits a 103.2 GTexel/s better Texture Fill Rate than the RTX 2080. This still holds weight but shader performance is generally more relevant, particularly since both of these GPUs support at least DirectX 10.

The RTX 2080 has a 300 MHz higher core clock speed than the RTX 2080 Ti, but the RTX 2080 Ti has 24 more Render Output Units than the RTX 2080. As a result, the RTX 2080 Ti exhibits a 13.2 GPixel/s better Pixel Fill Rate than the RTX 2080. However, both GPUs support DirectX 9 or above, and pixeling performance is only really relevant when comparing older cards.

The RTX 2080 was released less than a year after the RTX 2080 Ti, and so they are likely to have similar driver support for optimizing performance when running the latest games.

We would recommend a PSU with at least 600 Watts for the RTX 2080 and a PSU with at least 650 Watts for the RTX 2080 Ti. The RTX 2080 Ti requires 45 Watts more than the RTX 2080 to run. The difference is significant enough that the RTX 2080 Ti may have a slight adverse affect on your yearly electricity bills in comparison to the RTX 2080.
