In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Galax EX White 8GB are very slightly better than the AMD Radeon RX 5950 XT.

The RX 5950 XT has a 105 MHz higher core clock speed than the RTX 3070, but the RTX 3070 has 52 more Texture Mapping Units than the RX 5950 XT. Architecture It equips an Ampere GPU Codenamed GA104 which is a First Gen Ampere GPU and has 20 SM activated, offering 2944 Shader Processing Units, 212 TMUs and 64 ROPs. The Ampere architecture provides the world's best consumer support for real-time ray-tracing technology, or RTX. It also has 544 Tensor Cores for AI purposes. GPU Name: GA102 GPU The central unit runs at 1424MHz and goes up to 1755MHz in Turbo Mode. Memory The GPU accesses a 8GB frame buffer of Third Gen GDDR6 through a 320-bit memory interface, while the Memory Clock Operates at 1750MHz, or 14GHz effective. Total memory bandwidth is 448 Gb/s.
