In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Intel HD i3 2100T are massively better than the Nvidia GeForce 4 MX 440.

The HD i3 2100T was released over three years more recently than the 4 MX, and so the HD i3 2100T is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the 4 MX when running the latest games.

Both GPUs exhibit very poor performance, so rather than upgrading from one to the other you should consider looking at more powerful GPUs. Neither of these will be able to run the latest games in any playable way.

The 4 MX has 128 MB video memory, but the HD i3 2100T does not have an entry, so the two GPUs cannot be reliably compared in this area.

The 4 MX has 2 Shader Processing Units but the HD i3 2100T does not have an entry, so the two GPUs cannot be reliably compared in this area.

The HD i3 2100T requires 35 Watts to run but there is no entry for the GeForce 4 MX 440.

GPU Mini Review

Mini ReviewHD i3 2100T is a specific version of the Intel HD 2000 Graphics that comes with the CPU 'Core i3-2100T 2.5GHz'. It uses the CPU's Level 3 Cache (up to 3 MB, in this case) + part of the RAM installed on the system up to a maximum of approximately 1.7GB for Vista/7 and 1 GB for XP. The Memory controller supports DDR3-1066 and DDR3-1333 and the Dynamic Frequency Technology of the processor can over-clock the graphics card clock from 650MHz to 1100MHz. Nevertheless it's still an integrated GPU with shared memory so its performance is very limited. Still, demanding games like Crysis 2 should still run on the lowest settings.GeForce4 MX 440 is part of the GeForce4 GPUS released by NVIDIA in 2002. Only compatible with DirectX 7 or less and with a max memory of 128 MB, it can't play today's games. Still, games before 2003 should be fully playable at max settings....
