In terms of overall gaming performance, the graphical capabilities of the Intel 82945G are marginally better than the Nvidia GeForce 4 MX 440.
The 82945G was released over three years more recently than the 4 MX, and so the 82945G is likely to have far better driver support, meaning it will be much more optimized and ultimately superior to the 4 MX when running the latest games.
Both GPUs exhibit very poor performance, so rather than upgrading from one to the other you should consider looking at more powerful GPUs. Neither of these will be able to run the latest games in any playable way.
The 4 MX has 128 MB video memory, but the 82945G does not have an entry, so the two GPUs cannot be reliably compared in this area.
The 4 MX has 2 Shader Processing Units but the 82945G does not have an entry, so the two GPUs cannot be reliably compared in this area.

Mini Review | Intel 82945Gcomes embedded on the Pentium 4, Pentium D, Celeron D, Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 Duo CPUs and features an Integrated GPU called Intel GMA 950. It only supports DirectX up to 9.0c so DirectX 10/11 games aren't (hardware) supported. The performance is quite bad and even very old games (before 2005) might require reduced settings. Today's games are, obviously, unplayable. | GeForce4 MX 440 is part of the GeForce4 GPUS released by NVIDIA in 2002. Only compatible with DirectX 7 or less and with a max memory of 128 MB, it can't play today's games. Still, games before 2003 should be fully playable at max settings.... |
