10 Aug 2021 - Graphics card reviewed

A mid to low level graphics card, the GeForce GTX 780 Ti EVGA SuperClocked w/ ACX Edition is found in budget machines nowadays, struggling to meet AAA system requirements.

All games with system requirements of DirectX 11 or lower are met by this card.

How well will the GeForce GTX 780 Ti EVGA SuperClocked w/ ACX Edition run 2022 games? We will take a look at the biggest releases and frames per second analysis on Ultra graphics settings. We look at 1000 of the most demanding games available today and this GPU is better than the recommended graphics requirement of more than 481 games in the list.

First we looked at 1080p resolution for the GeForce GTX 780 Ti EVGA SuperClocked w/ ACX Edition performance to explore what sort of benchmarks it would achieve on the popular title Dying Light 2 and predict it will deliver playable frames per second across the following graphics settings - Low: 74 FPS, Medium: 58 FPS, High: 39 FPS and Ultra: 28 FPS. We proceeded to look at Forza Horizon 5 to see how that compared and saw that it returned a playable 34 FPS at Ultra 1080p.

Moving screen sizes up to 1440p we researched Dying Light 2 on the GeForce GTX 780 Ti EVGA SuperClocked w/ ACX Edition and predict it will get a weak set of frame rates. Here are the low to ultra predictions at 1440p - L: 56FPS, M: 44FPS, H: 30FPS, U: 21FPS. Another popular game to test at 1440p with this card was Forza Horizon 5 which seemed playable in performance netting an Ultra FPS of 26 FPS. Finally we then took a look at Grand Theft Auto VI where its predicted Ultra 1440p Frame rates were weak at 21 FPS. After a look at the popular games running at 1440p with the GeForce GTX 780 Ti EVGA SuperClocked w/ ACX Edition, this is not ideal and its more advisable to run modern games at 1080p resolution. But if you really want to play games at 1440p then you will likely have to make some graphical adjustments to improve game FPS stability.
