GeForce GTX 870M 3GB Game Requirement Analysis
GeForce GTX 870M 3GB is a high-end mobile graphics card.
It is based on a variant of the GK104 Core of the 28nm Kepler architecture that offers 1344 Shader Processing Units, 112 TMUs and 32 ROPs, on a 192-bit memory interface of fast GDDR5. While the central unit runs at 941MHz and goes up to 967MHz, in Turbo Mode, the memory clock operates at 1250MHz. The rated TDP should not surpass the 100W barrier.
Considering its predecessor (GeForce GTX 770M), its performance might be up to 30% better and should even surpass AMD's most powerful mobile graphics Card - Radeon R9 M290X.
GeForce GTX 870M 3GB will only be seen on large notebooks and it needs to be paired with 8GB of RAM and a Strong Quad Core. The card is suited for 1080p and even the most demanding games should run fluently at high settings.
