How well can the Radeon R7 250 1GB run games
This Radeon R7 250 1GB graphics card is considered budget with poor modern game performance when playing anything more demanding than indie game requirements.

This card meets game requirements up to DirectX 11.

This low performing GPU is unable to play any of the most demanding games available today.

How many years will the Radeon R7 250 1GB graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the Radeon R7 250 1GB in your PC? You should definitely consider replacing this Radeon R7 250 1GB graphics card, if it is still in your gaming PC.

Radeon R7 250 1GB Game Requirement Analysis

Overview
Radeon R7 250 is a Fast-Middle-Class Graphics Card based on the First Revision of the Graphics Core Next (GCN) Architecture.

Architecture
The GCN 1.1 revision of the Graphics Core Next Architecture adds new important technologies and is largely oriented for energy efficiency. New technologies such as PowerTune and TrueAudio are the biggest additions as well as DirectX 11.2 support.

GPU
It equips a GPU Codenamed Oland XT which has 6 Compute Units activated and thus offers 384 Shader Processing Units, 24 TMUs and 8 ROPs. The Central Unit is clocked at 1000MHz and goes up to 1050MHz, in Turbo Mode.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 1GB frame buffer of fast GDDR5, through a 128-bit memory interface. The size of the frame buffer is adequate. The Memory Clock Operates at 1150MHz.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 65W, it requires at least a 400W PSU and relies entirely on the PCI Slot for power, meaning no extra connectors are required.

Performance
Radeon R7 250 Competes with GeForce GTX 750 but the latter is much faster and slightly more efficient.
It proves to be as fast as Radeon HD 7750.

System Suggestions
Radeon R7 250 is best suited for resolutions up to and including 1600x900. We recommend a Decent Processor (Intel Core i3 Dual Core/AMD FX Quad Core) and 8GB of RAM for Optimal Performance.

Actually you would be getting around 40-50 fps on 1080p everything on very high. lowering a bit shadows and shaders will give you 60+ fps.

Hello, is R7 250 1gb gddr5 a renamed card from HD7730? Is that true? The overall performance of HD7750 is still better than R7 250?
