While some games have more powerful requirements than this GPU, the GeForce GTX 980 EVGA Hydro Copper 4GB Edition is only really challenged by the most demanding games released today, but normally it is more than capable of running games with a stable frame rate at 1080p.

GeForce GTX 980 EVGA Hydro Copper 4GB Edition is capable of DirectX 12 gaming requirements.

Here is a quick game performance synopsis for the AAA games played in 2022. In particular we focus on how well the GeForce GTX 980 EVGA Hydro Copper 4GB Edition runs at Ultra graphics settings and what frames per second it is getting at 1080p, 1440p and 4K monitor resolutions. The GeForce GTX 980 EVGA Hydro Copper 4GB Edition can run the recommended graphics system requirements for 748 games today, of the top 1000 most demanding.

Running at 1080p this card gets a strong frame rate from FIFA 22 with 94 FPS on Ultra. Then we take a look at Resident Evil 8 which returns a playable 40 FPS. Another title that we looked at is the popular Dying Light 2 which we saw getting a playable 35 FPS.

One of the growing popular screen resolutions for PC gaming is the wider 1440p.
