GeForce 930M 2GB Game Requirement Analysis
Overview
GeForce 930M 2GB is a Middle-Class Mobile Graphics Card based on the First Revision of the Maxwell architecture.
Architecture
The Maxwell architecture features many improvements and among them is the extremely large L2 Cache which allows NVIDIA to produce Graphics Cards with relatively small memory data transfer rates, without causing too much impact on the overall performance. Furthermore, the Shaders have been redesigned and are both more powerful and energy efficient.
GPU
It equips a GPU Codenamed GM108-N16S-GM which has 3 SM activated and thus offers 384 Shader Processing Units, 24 TMUs and 8 ROPs. The central unit runs at 928MHz and goes up to 941MHz, in Turbo Mode.
Memory
The GPU accesses a 2GB frame buffer of DDR3, through a 64-bit memory interface. The Frame Buffer is exaggerated and in no way benefits the GPU. The memory clock operates at 900MHz.
Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 25W, it will only be equipped in average sized notebooks.
Performance
GeForce 930M 2GB is essentially a power optimized GeForce 840M 2GB and offers performance somewhere between GeForce 830M 2GB and GeForce 840M 2GB.
System Suggestions
We recommend a Modest Processor and 4GB of RAM for a notebook with GeForce 930M 2GB.
