Radeon R7 370 Game Requirement Analysis

Overview
Radeon R7 370 is a Fast-Middle-Class Graphics Card based on the First Revision of the Graphics Core Next (GCN) Architecture.

Architecture
The GCN Architecture succeeds the 40nm Terascale Architecture. In addition to being produced with a 28nm Technology, the GCN Architecture adds other Technologies that allow for energy efficiency. For example, ZeroCore Power, a long idle power saving technology, allows the Graphics Cards to shut down by itself when the Monitor is turned off.
GCN also adds Improved Anisotropic Filtering, DirectX 11 Tessellation and the Partially Resident Textures (PRT) Technology, which enables future games to utilize ultra-high resolution textures with the same performance as today's small and often repetitive textures.

GPU
It equips a GPU Codenamed Trinidad PRO which has 16 Compute Units activated and thus offers 1024 Shader Processing Units, 64 TMUs and 32 ROPs. The Central Unit is Initially Clocked at 925MHz and goes up to 975MHz, in Turbo Mode.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 2GB frame buffer of fast GDDR5, through a 256-bit memory interface. The size of the frame buffer is adequate. The Memory Clock Operates at 1400MHz.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 110W, it requires at least a 500W PSU with one available 6-pin connector.

Performance
Radeon R7 370 2GB is essentially a faster, power optimized Radeon R7 265 2GB.
Its release Price of $149 is what makes it a very competitive Graphics Card because its performance is even beneath the Very Old Legacy Radeon HD 7870 and the GPU is not 1080p gaming capable, considering today's gaming market.

System Suggestions
Radeon R7 370 2GB is best suited for resolutions up to and including 1600x900. We recommend a Decent Processor and 8GB of RAM for Optimal Performance.

when GD says capable, GD says maximum possible settings at resolutuion(excluding AA).
i say that because GD says my GPU is 1080p oriented, and at this resolution i run every on ultra at 65 FPS+ (or 30-50 FPS with large amounts of AA)

750Ti is the less future proof GPU that are actually in the gaming market(Async? Full DX 12 suport? Good vulkan performance? pff, nevermind).
Even R7 360 is a wiser choice.

Yes, Trinidad & Tobago are actually two islands that formed one country. Trinidad is the bigger island which i lived on, Tobago is smaller but my father is from there. AMD codenamed this GPU and R9 370X after Trinidad and, R7 360 after Tobago.

It's weird that some benchmarks show it as fast as Radeon R9 270X when the Graphics Card is indeed weaker than Radeon R9 270 itself.
Did AMD pay the reviewers?

Perhaps it's the same situation that happened with R9 285.
AMD released drivers that make it perform much worse than it. That way, Radeon R9 380, which is an overclocked R9 285, seems much faster…

This card is 10-15% weaker than my 270 and it costs MORE?!?!
They could easily fit another card between 370 and 380.

The game debate comparison tools are not very accurate between different generations, from benchmarks that I've seen the r7 370 is sometimes as good as the r9 270 and sometimes as good as the r9 270X(which is a higher clocked r9 270).

GCN 1.2 is where the improvements come. GCN 1.2 has better Tessellation engine and Color Compression, compared to GCN 1.1 and GCN 1.0.
The r9 285 and r9 380 and r7 360 are all GCN 1.2
The r9 285 and r9 380 handle tessellation even better than the r9 290x.
