Had enough money for 1080 but anything above 1050 is already enough for me, so I just happend to stop at the 1060 webpage and bought one of them :D

Definitely a good choice. Can play over half of my game inventory @144.

One weird thing is that the fan speed does not exceed 50% while chip is under 100% load and is overclocked AND still has good temperature.

For 900p a GTX 1060 will be more than enough. I can play most games at 1440p with med-high settings so with your resolution 1070 would be an overkill.

Every 1060 is great. There is little difference between manufacturers. I would probably go for ASUS ROG version or MSI GAMING if i would choose to buy a new one.

Thanks for the reply. I was actually thinking about going for one of the new AMD cards, but since I've only used Nvidia I don't really know what to expect of AMD. But by the time I actually upgrade, I think there's gonna be plenty of reviews and options to consider.
